Bowling For Soup are weeks away from the biggest headline show of their lives \u2013 and it\u2019s only taken 31 years.<\/p>\n

The pop punk icons etched their names in the history books in the early 2000s with classic bangers like Girl All The Bad Guys Want, 1985 and High\u00a0School<\/a>\u00a0Never Ends.<\/p>\n

Over the last year or so, things have changed, with the\u00a0retirement of longtime guitarist Chris Burney\u00a0<\/a>due to\u00a0health<\/a>\u00a0reasons.<\/p>\n

Just days after\u00a0that<\/em>\u00a0announcement, the remaining members, frontman Jaret Reddick, bassist Rob Felicetti and drummer Gary Wiseman, confirmed a\u00a0headline show at London\u2019s Wembley Arena\u00a0<\/a>for December 13, 2025.<\/p>\n

Speaking\u00a0exclusively to Metro<\/strong>, Jaret said: \u2018The UK as a whole embraced this band back in 2000, 2001 and never really let go.<\/p>\n

\u2018You and I have talked before about the press turning on us a few years in because of the whole silly factor, \u201cis there longevity to this\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018But then you get to this point in your career where the journalists, and even the new younger journalists, have to at least accept the fact that we\u2019re here to stay!\u2019<\/p>\n

They certainly are, with live album A Hangover You Definitely Deserve coming this month, and brand new single Holding On To That Hate dropping a week ago.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s their first original material since 2022\u2019s Pop Drunk Snot Bread, and the initial idea was to record as a favour for Soundmine Recording Studio by testing out Solid State Logic\u2019s new equipment.<\/p>\n

\u2018We walked away going, alright, when can we get back here and do a record? And so the plan is to be back in the studio in February,\u2019\u00a0the 53-year-old musician<\/a>\u00a0revealed.<\/p>\n

It will also mark their first original LP as a three-piece after Chris\u2019 departure.<\/p>\n

\u2018We miss Chris in all aspects for sure, but I do have to say, I don\u2019t want that to take away from the excitement. Us getting back into the studio was really exciting,\u2019 Jaret pointed out.<\/p>\n

\u2018There was something about it, \u201cAlright, this is kind of like the beginning of our new era!\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n

There\u2019s already a few tracks written for the next record, with Jaret hoping to have between 11 and 13 make the cut for a summer 2026 release.<\/p>\n

Before all that, there\u2019s the small matter of a career-defining date at Wembley, with support from\u00a0Teenage Dirtbag legend Wheatus<\/a>, and epic Welsh cover band\u00a0Punk Rock Factory<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Wembley is going to be such a monumental day,\u2019 Jaret smiled. \u2018We\u2019re basking in it. It\u2019s funny, because there\u2019s no real pressure to us, because we didn\u2019t expect to be here 31 years in anyway!\u2019<\/p>\n

For anyone making it to the big show, the Texan star promised\u00a0Wembley will be \u2018nostalgic, upbeat fun<\/a>, and something that you\u2019re never gonna forget\u2019.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an exciting time for the scene too, as Jaret pointed to the likes of Yellowcard and New Found Glory still flying the flag.<\/p>\n

\u2018And obviously\u00a0Blink-182<\/a>\u00a0is bigger than U2 now,\u2019 he said earnestly. \u2018It\u2019s just wild.\u2019<\/p>\n

Despite their longevity, after their 2022 album, Jaret thought BFS were done making traditional records, with the\u00a0industry more focused on singles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018There was part of me that wondered if we would ever make a full length record again,\u2019 he confessed. \u2018But there\u2019s just something about putting together a collection of songs, and being able to revisit that time. I really do think that this will be something special.\u2019<\/p>\n

The next BFS record is being created in a refreshing way, with bassist Rob \u2013 who joined in 2018 \u2013 getting more input on the writing. He composed the music for the new power pop single, with Jaret laying down lyrics he\u2019d dreamt just hours earlier.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m happy for Rob and really appreciate that we\u2019re a unit, firing on all cylinders,\u2019 he said, noting the style of their 12th album is very much at a \u2018let\u2019s see what happens\u2019 stage.<\/p>\n

\u2018The things that I\u2019ve written are a little bit more even the other direction, more like Drunk Enough To Dance, just guitars and drums and vocals, just in your face,\u2019 he teased.<\/p>\n

\u2018But at the same time, you know, when you get in the studio and you\u2019ve got all these fun little things around you, you just never know what you\u2019re going to pick up and start playing.\u2019<\/p>\n

That\u2019s still a way off \u2013 Wembley is still the focus with a couple of months to go, and it promises to be a special night.<\/p>\n
